Giovanni Antonio Guido's (c.1675-after 1728) "The Four Seasons". Instrumental pieces with accompanying poems. Vivaldi's wasn't the only one! (Guido's may have even been written before Vivaldi's)
不是那個「四季」？！
十八世紀描述四季的標題音樂，每個季節都有一首詩相隨，Vivaldi並不是唯一一位。到法國發展的義大利作曲家Giovanni Antonio Guido的「四季」，創作時間和Vivaldi差不多，甚至有可能比他早。純屬巧合，或是相互影響，今天無從考據。
Guido的四季，每一首都比Vivaldi的來得長，曲式更像組曲，是Guido到法國入境隨俗，結合法式與義式巴洛克曲風的結果。
英國古樂團The Band of Instruments的演奏相當帶勁，詮釋這些未知曲再適合不過。
唯一美中不足的是，四首詩CD冊裡只附法文原文，並沒有英文翻譯～～
